What's Your American Dream (Story Contest)
Introduction: This Thanksgiving, we invite you to share your unique journey towards the American Dream. At Citizen Insider™, we cherish the rich mosaic of stories that make up this nation, and we're eager to hear yours!
Dates:
- Contest Starts: November 1, 2023
- Contest Ends: November 20, 2023 (This ensures ample time to review entries and announce our winners before Thanksgiving on November 23.)
How to Enter:
- Submit your story via email to stories@officialfellowcitizen.com.
- Include the following details in your email:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address (for communication purposes)
- Phone Number (so we can contact winners)
- Subject Line: "American Dream Submission - [Your First Name, Last Initial]" (e.g., "American Dream Submission - Jane D."). This format ensures easy identification and sorting of entries.
- Writing Prompt: "Describe a pivotal moment or experience that profoundly influenced your (or the person's) belief in the American Dream."
- Word Count Range: Keep your story between 150 and 500 words. This ensures depth without overwhelming our judging panel.
Engage with the Citizen Insider™ community: Although full stories are submitted via email, participants are encouraged to share a brief summary or teaser of their story in the comments section of our post, "Why I Still Believe in the American Dream (Part 1)". This encourages community interaction and gives others a glimpse into your journey. Please also take a moment to respond to at least one other summary shared by a fellow participant.

- Upon receiving your story submission, you'll get an automated response confirming its receipt. This ensures you know your entry has been successfully received.
- The personal details provided will strictly be used for contest-related communication and prize distribution. They will not be shared with external parties or used for other purposes. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us.

Winner Announcement: The chosen stories will be celebrated in a special blog post on November 22, 2023, the day before Thanksgiving. With permission, the winning story will be featured, allowing the entire Citizen Insider™ community to join the festivity.

- Submit only one story per participant.
- All entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Please ensure the stories shared reflect genuine personal experiences. Any plagiarized or false content will lead to disqualification.
- By participating, you grant Citizen Insider™ the right to share your story on our website and other promotional channels.
- Prizes cannot be swapped for cash or other items.
- The decision by Citizen Insider™ concerning winners is conclusive.
